Support Local

We are committed to the Western Australian Industry Participation Framework launched in July 2011

We have commenced engagement with CCI and NECA, and will actively collaborate with the Indigenous Employment Programme (IEP)

We will ensure our suppliers engage in the employment of apprentices.

As per our staffing establishment and training plan, we have established an apprenticeship scheme for electricians.

We believe that by supporting our local industries and smaller business owners, the environmental impact is reduced by locally owned businesses can make local purchases requiring less transportation. Supporting local businesses allows them to maintain premises in commercial centres instead of developing in fringe areas which means contributing less to sprawl, congestion, habitat loss and pollution.

Local Business creates more jobs. Small local businesses are the largest employer nationally and in our community, provide the most jobs to local residents.

Local businesses often hire people with a better understanding of the services and supplies they are providing because they understand their surrounding environment.

We believe that by investing in our community has an advantageous growth affect to local businesses which are generally owned by people who live in our community and are less likely to leave, thus creating a sustainable investment in the community's future.

Local businesses require comparatively little infrastructure investment and make more efficient use of public services as compared to nationally owned businesses entering the community.
